FAQs
Do you take insurance?
While I do not accept insurance, I would be happy to provide a Superbill for reimbursement.
Do you see clients in person or via telehealth?
For adults, I am only accepting new clients interested in telehealth services.
For children, it depends upon the child’s age and maturity level. In person therapy with younger children will be under the auspices of North Star Families (www.northstarfamilies.com)
Do you use a specific therapeutic modality?
It’s my job to find a unique way of working with each client that best suits that client’s individual situation, personality and strengths. That said, my work is most substantially informed by psychodynamic, existential, interrelational and attachment models.
(And if you have no idea what any of that gibberish might mean, that’s fine as well.)
What are your fees?
I charge $350 per 45 minute session (children) and $275 per 50 minute session (adults, telehealth only). I offer a limited number of ‘sliding scale’ arrangements based on demonstrated financial need.
How do I know that you’re the right choice for me or my child?
I offer a free 20 minute initial consultation during which you should feel free to ask me whatever questions you would like. In addition, I encourage every prospective client to meet with at least two other therapists to gain a sense of the different options available. Studies suggest that the strength of the therapeutic relationship is the single most reliable predictor of successful treatment… so whether it’s me or someone else, please take the time to find the person who is most right for you.
